Fine mens shirts help Clooney stay cool Inside the Actors Studio

1 Feb 2012

George Clooney's appearance on the US show may have had audiences in hysterics but his choice of quality cotton shirts ensured he looked as collected as ever.

The former ER star was interview by James Lipton for a special edition of the profile show, which comes as Clooney celebrates his latest Oscar nomination.

The 50-year-old has been nominated for the Best Actor gong at the Academy Awards following another sterling performance in The Descendents.

He was on sparkling form alongside Lipton, helped no end by his continued love for smart mens shirts.

On this occasion a black and white vertical striped number was the order of the day with Clooney's look mixing the debonair with casual twist.

The Ocean's Eleven actor had the audience in hysterics too as he regaled them with his memories of growing up as a Roman Catholic and alter boy.

"'In second grade, you’re eight years old, and you’re going to confession once a week.," he said.

"You go down that list of Ten Commandments and I remember reading "adultery" and I would confess to committing adultery because I thought it mean acting like an adult."

The anecdote had the audience and host in raptures, while Clooney remained his usual cool self, thanks in no small part to his distinguished choice of wears.
