Gary Oldman's dark blue mens shirts great for Dark Knight star

25 Jan 2012

The Oscar nominated actor deserves an award for his sense of style, reminding us that blue is definitely the colour when it comes to slim fit mens shirts.

Oldman was photographed in Berlin yesterday (January 24th) as he attended the German premier of cold-war drama Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

The timing of the appearance was fitting too, with Oldman nominated for an Oscar yesterday for his portrayal of British intelligence expert George Smiley in the film.

As ever, the veteran British actor was at his stylish best with a well-fitted grey suit perfectly complementing his well-advised choice of blue cotton shirts.

Finishing off the ensemble with a matching red tie and pocket square, his outfit provided the perfect accompaniment to wife Alexandra Edenborough's sophisticated black dress.

Commenting on his nomination for best actor, Oldman said: "It is extremely humbling, gratifying, and delightful to have your work recognised by the Academy."

Those looking for a stylish blue number from the Eton Shirts collection could consider the twill pink multi stripe design that comes in a classic fit, single cuff design with a moderate cutaway collar.
