Groomed to perfection ready for evening shirts

Having a daily grooming regime can help to ensure that guys look their best when they slip into their evening shirts ready for a night out.

Jason Wigglesworth, salon director at The Gentry Grooming Company, said that even if they have limited time to spend on their own appearance, there are a few steps all males should ensure they take before putting on men's shirts and heading to work.

This involves a basic four-step plan, he advised, beginning by applying a good quality facial wash and scrub to clean the pores and allow them to open before shaving.

"[Use] lots of hot water with a really nourishing shaving cream to protect the skin while shaving, followed with a nourishing face balm or moisturiser to leaving the skin ready for the day and night ahead," Mr Wigglesworth added.

While such a regime can ensure guys are looking their best, they may not have to worry unduly about taking their beautifying ambitions further.

A recent survey of 3,000 women in the UK by Sound Asleep revealed that 85 per cent preferred men who were natural and had body hair, over those who waxed and classed themselves as highly groomed metrosexuals.
