Men's Shirts and Gadget NewsGuys 'should choose Sherlock-inspired evening shirts'11 Aug 2010
The BBC's latest series Sherlock may be doing more than just offering a new spin on the classic detective - it could also be having a direct influence when guys pick out evening shirts. According to the Guardian's Polly Vernon, one of the best features of the new show is lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch's costumes, as she claims that this is a return to the character originally created by Conan Doyle, who demonstrated a flamboyant and theatrical style. "It's timeless, sleek, minimal, sharp, fastidious, uncompromised, free of any self-conscious quirk intended to offer insight into Holmes's character," she explains. Ms Vernon adds that the look is also "lean", rather than being overly "fancy", although Cumberbatch's long coattails are reminiscent of Sherlock's cloak in the novels. As a result, guys may wish to keep the character in mind when they are updating their wardrobes with men's shirts. Cumberbatch stars alongside Martin Freeman in the new drama, which moves the detective action to the present day. Related News: Men's Shirts News Latest News...
