Men's Shirts and Gadget NewsHawaiian men's shirts 'should be avoided at Lords'9 Aug 2010
Hawaiian-shirts may not be a completely unsuitable garment to wear to Lords, cricket fans have been urged. Hadley Freeman, responding to a Guardian reader who claimed their friend favoured such garments when watching the sport, said that such a shirt captures the "brightness and strikingness" of the "gaudy" ties and stripy jackets favoured by seasoned cricket fans. She added that the reader and his friends are probably not the types to spend the day at Lords modelling the traditional Great Gatsby-esque look. "I cannot think of a single example of [Robert] Redford wearing a Hawaiian shirt and, you know, his career was the poorer for it," Ms Freeman quipped. However, short sleeve shirts may be a better choice for a day's cricket, as the style can help men stay cool, while they can also choose a more muted colour palette. Elsewhere, comedian Russell Brand recently told ASOS magazine that his own take on fashion was a combination of the Henley Regatta and 70s rock. Related News: Men's Shirts News Latest News...
