London men choose button down collar shirts

Many of the finalists of a search to find the UK's best dressed man have chosen button down collar shirts and smart suits to impress with.

The hunt, led by Esquire magazine, has narrowed down to 12 finalists, with members of the public invited to give their thoughts on the guys' style.

Many of the males have chosen traditional men's shirts and suits to impress with, while some have chosen a more casual combination of jacket, chinos or skinny jeans and brogues.

Accessories seen on the stylish finalists include scarves, hats, handkerchiefs and leather binders.

According to the London Evening Standard, over half of the 12 come from London.

Commenting on this trend, Esquire editor Jeremy Langmead this should come as no surprise as the capital attracts some of the most creative minds in the UK, with many of its districts boasting their own unofficial dress codes.

"It's also a city that encourages individuality and freedom of expression - whether that's through what you say, do, or even wear," he added.

Overall, Mr Langmead said that London-based guys look "pretty amazing".
