Men's shirts owners 'want activity holidays'

26 Jul 2010

People may want to ensure they leave their quality men's shirts back at their hotel if they decide to go on an adventure holiday this summer.

According to Ian Bradley, a spokesperson for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, men increasingly want to do more when they jet off on a break.

This means that instead of sitting on a beach for two weeks, they are likely to try something new like diving or sailing.

Similarly, they may also want to experience a food or wine holiday, he continued, although they might want to wear an apron to avoid any spills on their single cuff shirts.

Mr Bradley said: "You can go to any country in the world and adventure activity companies will be there."

He also claimed holidaymakers are keener to get involved with local communities when they go abroad.

Mr Bradley's comments come after research conducted by cottages4you found 44 per cent of people get restless if they spend their time lying on a beach while on holiday.
