She explained that people can sign up for dance classes on the beach at night, learning danzon, tango or salsa, as well as booking cooking classes with famous chefs in fancy hotels, haciendas or colonial kitchens.
Mexico City, however, could be the best place to go, since it is "rich in history, dynamic and centrally located".
There are museums such as the National Palace, the Palace of Fine Arts and the Metropolitan Cathedral to explore, Ms Laborin continued.
