Prince Charles advises teaming men's double cuff shirts with recycled suits

Prince Charles has urged guys to consider purchasing a vintage suit to wear with their men's double cuff shirts or having their shoes repaired in order to hep reduce their harmful impact on the environment.

According to the Daily Express, the Royal is known for wearing garments that are decades old and now he hopes that more Britons will consider choosing second-hand clothes or having their favourite items mended.

Writing for Vogue magazine, the Prince said: "Not so long ago, wearing old or second-hand clothes tended to be an embarrassment to many, yet now vintage outfits are on red carpets all over the world."

He added that "upcycling" - where old men's shirts or other garments can be refashioned in the style of a modern trend - is also proving popular.

Elsewhere, 23-year-old Chi Atanga from Oxford, one of the contenders for Esquire's recent best dressed man, search cited Prince Charles as an influence on the way he dresses.
