Ricky Gervais was the star of the show once again at the Golden Globe Awards in the US, thanks in no small part to his continued choice of black formal shirts.
Hosting the event for the third successive year, Gervais looked every bit as stylish as Johnny Depp who joined him onstage at the Beverly Hills event.
Sporting a velvet burgundy and black suit jacket, Gervais continued to highlight his new slim line figure with his usual choice of sleek black slim fit shirts for the ceremony.
The night was a resounding success for the 50-year-old writer, who had the star-studded audience in raptures with jokes surrounding Madonna, Eddie Murphy and Jodie Foster.
His outfit on the night was another success too, with Gervais going to humorous lengths to highlight that it was an independent choice.
Writing on his twitter account, he said: "Hollywood is all about image, so I've hired the best stylist in the business, to really 'wow' at the Golden Globes," before posting a bizarre image of a bespectacled man with a beard and grey suit.
