Thom Browne's new Munsters-inspired autumn/winter collection sparked controversy at the final day of the Paris fashion week, but is there something to be said for green mens shirts?
The 47-year old director is widely revered among fashionistas across the world for his unique male design wear, but this year's efforts in Paris may have proven a step too far.
Unveiling an array of eccentrically styled outfits, Browne's love of the controversial evidently played a role in his latest collection with the designs.
Featuring sharply tailored oversized suits and men's shirts, the prints combined argyle patterns and tartans with contrasting colours of grey, black, pink and green.
Never one to shy away from originality, the collection divided critics and fans alike with the designer evidently focused on his designs over any controversy.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Browne argued: "Fashion is not about theatrics. I’m very serious about my clothing. There has to be a reason for things."
Despite these claims though, while the discerning man in the crowd is likely to shy away from these designs, green could well be the colour of the new season.
Taking green shades as a starting point offers a range of top designs in the second part of Eton Shirts' Autumn/Winter collection.
The dark green printed shield poplin design, which comes in a single cuff contemporary fit design with a moderate cutaway collar, is one prime example.
This darker shade gives the shirt a slimming effect, with the fine cotton design ensuring a cool refined look alongside a comfortable fit.
Alternatively, the more confident among you could opt for the light green printed baby cord shirt in a single cuff design in a contemporary fit and moderate cutaway collar.
With either shirt offering an ideal mix of price and quality, opting for another shade of green could ensure you avoid any potential envy over Browne's new garments.
