Men's cotton shirts, tailored trousers and sharp jackets are all becoming wardrobe staples as UK guys smarten up their fashion ideas. A search by Esquire magazine for the country's best dressed male has seen popular clothing trends changing from region to region, although those in Cardiff and Birmingham were told to "smarten up". Indeed, the magazine's editor Jeremy Langmead told the Independent that men's shirts with a pocket square and bow ties were both proving to be on-trend across the country. He added: "The tailored jacket was the most popular item around the country - whether modelled by a sexagenarian in Edinburgh or a teenager in Liverpool." Mr Langmead noted that the outfits guys teamed with their jackets were diverse - ranging from with a traditional suit to skinny jeans and high top sneakers. Esquire will soon announce the winner of its nationwide best dressed search, with the victor set to bag £30,000-worth of clothes from Harrods among other prizes.
